I obtained a master’s degree in Industrial Design from the National United University in Taiwan, and after finishing my military duty

I came to Western Australia.

I am currently working for PERTH888.co, managing a hostel. I put advertisements online, take the phone calls, make appointments and introduce the rooms, facilities and explain how we charge the fee for the accommodation. In other hand, I make videos to promote Perth and showing backpackers’ life. During this work, I have been gaining lots of interpersonal ability with foreigners. At the same time, I'm improving my English at an English college as well.

As a review of my student days has a number of memories. I was the president of the 96th Nuuid (Department of Industrial Design of National United University), which involves leading classmates to hold many activities, (e.g., Campus Exhibition, Entering Performers and the final Graduation Exhibition). I value teamwork, especially progressing projects with partners until they are finished perfectly.

During my master’s degree, I was involved in a wide variety of projects, such as Elderly care technology products, patent searching and teaching, Kansei Engineering of the curves of bottles of Coca-Cola and Inheritance of local handicraft of Yuan-Li, etc.

I did an internship at a shoe factory called New Star in china, and finished 4 pairs of shoes from design to manufacture. During that period of time, I went through the entire process and found out how pieces of leather become a pair of shoes. During my student days, I was very keen to participate in competitions, and I got some rewards to prove my ability.

My master’s thesis was” Exploring the Aesthetic Management and Market Positioning of Leather Shoe Brands in Taiwan” , because of the topic, I got the chance to interview the boss or designers of many shoe brands in Taiwan. Therefore, I discovered how they had managed their shoe design, where to find the fashion trends, what their target customers are, and what the steps of founding a shoes company are? I got so much information, many tips for being successful. I realized why people used to call Taiwan was the kingdom of shoemaking.
